Chest Drawers

In May 2009, I got an offer to make a design with small dimensions chest drawers from Mr. Junnich Mitubori- Found Furniture Japan.
Design should use other components in addition to solid wood

After thinking a while, I decided to use glass as a complement the look.
below is an image that I created with Autocad program

After the image has been approved, I starrt the process of building with the selection of A-grade teak wood and continuous finishing color that's mix between Rattan Brown and Yellow BB from IMPRA color series.

Then I developed a few other designs

Most people will consider about the price first when they talk or think about solid wood furniture, especially one made from teak wood. It is not a secret that solid teak furniture is pricey among other furniture. The furniture is rather expensive compare to home furnishing made from engineered wood. However, its expensive price brings other consequence. You will get utmost quality of furniture from solid teak, durability and strength that will last more than decades or even century.

Keep up with Competitors

It is said that, in a shop that sold books, stationery, cassette, and others, in a small town. There came a visitor, middle-aged mother was carrying a note in her hand. The store employee with a friendly greeting, " good day, can I help you? "

Handing a paper in her hand, the mother said, " this is a list of items to buy, please find for me. Or where the goods and books do I need? Let me help you look for it, " said the mother while walking to a rack of equipment. Soon they start looking for the items needed.

Because the stuff she's looking for should be complete, the mother was there for quite a while. Incidentally it was the owner also was there. Because visitors are being deserted, while conversing with the mother he also helps in finding required goods the mother happily.

" I'm sorry Ma'am, we're not complete collection so you could not get it all at once here. If willing, you can search the store X  at the end of this road. Hopefully there is still goods inventory. If there were none, let me know and I will order it for you. "

After done counting and paying, the mother who was very impressed with the friendliness of the service in the store says, " Thank you for the service. I have a little question, whether you not to worry because the move would be reduced subscription, with the introduction of other stores that sell items similar to the ones sold here?"

" No Ma'am, I never worried about that kind of thing. For me, being able to serve and satisfy the needs of the customer are the main ones.If it is indeed a provision being allotted to me, it's not going to go everywhere. I believe, if I feel comfortable with our service, one day if you takes such goods we sell, you will definitely visit here again. Thank you for shopping with us. I wait for sometime you stop by here again, " replied the shop owners while delivering the mother out of his shop.

In this era that said " very competitive " likes today, the competition is often done with unhealthy, even to give misleading information so that our products are of interest to our customers and creating our competitor to down.
Competing in a healthy is " living in harmony with competitors " not to blocking competitors market but looking at our place for self-improvement.
In fact, it is not a competitor to compete with, but by our own standards.
Starting with the current state, Let us always settled and improve in order to be better and better day by day.

Bench

If there is a seat beside chair, I think the most appropriate is the bench.
In addition, the ergonomic bench could also be an interesting accent in a room
I try to create with the rest pieces of wood from some project  previously.
I design such that it does not need material that is too wide.

Leather Chair

Starting from a challenge my colleagues, Mr. Junnich Mitubori, whether I can make design chairs with a combination of material from the leather.
First I determine leather material quandary, because so far I haven't make project with materials from the leather.
After search on everything about leather, I decide to use cowhide with reason texture stronger and more maximum results.
What I need to do now is create a design chair as my colleagues wish, then put the leather material as a pedestal seat.
 

 And after the project was completed with good results, some time later, my colleague ordered again with another form of chairs.

You can also choose the Leather Furniture which made from various kinds of leather so it has a smooth texture.
The most popular choice is Rustic Furniture because it has high artistic value.

2012 focus

The Power of Focus

 Today we are indeed not in an atmosphere of war. But in everyday life we actually fought in a different form. Just look at the business, many people are applying Sun Tzu war philosophy for doing business like a fight in other formats. ' The enemy ' are our competitors. If we lose then we can compete ventures fail.

 Where focus can be done? We can focus on an added value in our products, and then as the pre-eminent power of . In this way our maximize product will be the winner of the competition. Most real and actual examples we can see from the rise of the smartphone brand BlackBerry (BB). BB is actually going into the smartphone market is already crowded. But BB shake-off the market with innovations that communication short message — a sort of SMS-not paid inter-BB. Proven successful to slap BB ruled the market in several countries including in Indonesia.

 Focus could also be done on the part of life other than business, such as career, sports, etc., so that we get better performance.

This morning I discussed the theme of ' Focus ' current Strength of Focus in television talk show. The story that I take, about an elderly wise king who wished to abdicate and bequeath his Kingdom to one of the three cubs. Of course he had to do a selection which of them deserve to occupy the throne. That he then opted for the youngest, because after going through a test, the youngest that have the ability to work with a focus.   The story of the King above shows how the power of focus are indispensable to achieve the things we want. So, with a focus on whatever will we do, then our bodies and minds will be gushing at one point to get more results to be achieved.

You can find a variety of furniture designs are perfect for your home so that your house has an extraordinary beauty.

Home Office Furniture Mobile Box 2 Drawers

I have a work desk that is relatively small so have constraints to keep some documents due to limited storage space.
So, I call it  home office furniture.
It is not an option to renovate form because it requires time and costs.
Design should be compact to placed under the work table.
Finally I decide to make a box with 2 drawers, so all documents can be stored neatly.

Materials used :

• A-grade teak 
• wheel caster 

Basically, wooden furniture that can be shaped into many designs.
Several types of furniture are Contemporary Furniture which has the latest design.
So,you should know some types of furniture that you are not confused to determine the best fit furniture for your home.
It is usually suitable for modern homes.
Otherwise, The Colonial Furniture which has a rather old-fashioned design but it has a strong character.

Bedside Table 1 Drawer

I really like to make furniture with small dimensions, such as bedside table.
In addition to the unique look, the materials used are also relatively few.
I am using small pieces of wood to be said of the rest pieces, so the cost is cheap.
To add a little accent on purpose I design using a drawer so as not look too plain.
Dimensions H x W x D : 40 x 40 x 40 cm.

The material used is :

• teak wood 
• clear glass 
• brass accessories for drawer

Color rattan brown finishing with a layer of wax end.

Some other creations :

Wood has been adored as the most beautiful and strong materials used in many purposes in human’s life. Wood is widely used in building construction, architecture, furniture and other woodworking.
As we know, many types of wood that enable to use for those purposes and teak is one of the most popular wood material on earth.
It is used for home furniture whether indoor or outdoor furniture.
Indoor teak furniture gives nice and warm look in the room, when the distinctive of teak decorate the house.
Teak needs less maintain and care when it is used for outdoor furniture. Some said, teak is a king for outdoor.

Decorative Mirrors:Standing Mirror

Standing mirror merupakan alternatif lain penempatan cermin selain di gantung di tembok.
Merupakan decorative mirror dalam arti dapat menjadi penghias ruangan disamping fungsinya.
Bahan :

• kayu jati 
• trilplek jati
• cermin 5mm
• tongkat penahan

Disini saya gunakan warna campuran kreasi saya sendiri antara Rattan Brown dan Yellow BB.

Lapisan akhir menggunakan wax.

Batik Laundry Bag

This time it is not a product of my project, but a brief review of a product from one of my friends.

Some time ago I came to a friend's art shop Mr. Supriyanto.
He open a shop named Griya Natural in Bali.
There are selling handicraft products with multi-faceted design.
One of the products that I show here is batik patterned laundry bag.
Design that is simple, functional and the important thing is this laundry bag can be folded so concise when not in use  ease to put onto storage.
With dimensions H x W x d : 80 x 38 x 40 makes this product looks pretty fit and proportional to load some daily dirty clothes.
Good quality material gets special attention in the process of making a product that has been proven I wear-approx 3.5 year-stay in good shape, as seen from the side it looks and construction.
The material used is

• 2 pieces of wood cross bar
• plain white cloth woven 
• water hyacinth which motif batik

At a price of  IDR.90.000 ($ 9  ) I think pretty rationally with quality, functionality and appearance has to offer.

My conclusion is
With batik pattern, this product is going to be an interesting accent in the corner of your room, very compact dimensions fit to keep dirty clothes neatly.
More than that, this product can be folded when not in use is suitable for those of you who have small rooms.
Overall what in this product is very rational price offered thereby eligible for.. .

Mobile Shelf

Try using metal components to build a form of furniture, with costs as cheaply as possible.
After look and observe what was there, I decided to choose stainless steel pipes with the diameter 2.5 cm  (1 inches)  by reason of such material resistant to corrosion, no need to refinishing and especially the shiny look luxurious.

The next step is to create a furniture design with the basic concept of minimalist, functional and of course must be at a cost that is cheap.
Of sketches on paper, I get form a bookshelf  with a measure of detail as seen on the picture below

I use grade B teakwood because prices are relatively inexpensive with a thickness of 2.5 cm.
I choose dark colour wich is Cooffe Brown contrasts with the shiny of stainless steel, followed by using a wax coating at the end.
To add a little accent, I put 4 pieces of wheel caster which one of them using latches.
So, mobile bookshelf  I already have.....

It turns out from a simple and low cost can result a form of furniture that is functional and eye catching display.

Knock Down Furniture

Knock down furniture is the idea..! This time the project is a demand for my colleague Mr Matthew Flinchum, a teacher who taught at a school in Kobe City of Japan.

He wants 1 set table tea with knockdown system because it would bring him back by himself during a visit to Indonesia.

That is, design must be concise to ease in the packaging and carrying.

Design consists of two compartments, each room with 1 shelf and 1 piece board liaison between  compartment.

I divided each compartment room into 5 parts component, which is:

• 1 piece base part
• 2 pieces side panel
• 1 piece rear panel
• 1 piece top part

I created a groove on the base part to placement side & rear panel, so it can stand and not shift.

next step is stringing the rear panel, the connection between side and rear panel by shifting down so both positions were locked in order to revive a whole construction.

the last is to combine two rooms with 1 piece board liaison.

With the knockdown system this product to be concise in packaging, and of course will be very cost-saving luggage in the plane.

Folding Bookrack PERDANA

At one point it occurred to one question in my mind, ' is there a simple way to minimize the volume of furniture? ‘This question based upon the high shipping rates merchandise through the expedition, courier service or other delivery services. It means the bigger the goods we will send the greater the cost we spend. Not just the cost of shipping rarity higher than prices of goods itself.

Well, departing from the thoughts, this time I tried to make bookshelves design can be folded. Overall dimensions when standing open is HxWxD : 120x75x38 cm when sealed into HxWxD : 120x75x6 cm.

Compact Enough isn't it?

The material I use is A-grade teak wood that physically looks beautiful. That is why I decided to finish it with rustic color only to accentuate the fiber timber. Hinge measures 6 cm made of brass to add accent antique and shelves support using rubber coated iron.  Once again, the concept I have to offer is simple and concise.
